Forward Cory Emmerton is injured, so he cannot be demoted to the AHL at this point. Once he is healthy, he will be sent down.
Daniel Larsson is traveling with the Wings to Sweden to be a 3rd goalie. NHL rules allow teams opening the season in Europe to carry 3 goalies. He’ll head to Grand Rapids when the Wings get home.
Brad May is going to Grand Rapids as an AHL tryout (I believe he can play a maximum of 25 game without a contract). The Wings will decide whether or not to offer him a contract when they return from Sweden.
