Game Day, 4:00PM ET: Detroit Red Wings at Los Angeles Kings

Niklas Kronwall remains out tonight with his tweaked knee. Rest it up, Kronner. The Wings need you for a playoff run. Kirk Maltby is back in the lineup this afternoon, making Brad May a healthy scratch. I would mention that Ville Leino’s a healthy scratch, but hey, he’s not on the team anymore! Wee! Way to not come close to expectations, Ville. Jimmy Howard gets the start in goal.

The Kings are on a roll as of late, going 9-1-0 in their last 10 games. They are on an 8 game winning streak. The Wings badly need a win tonight, as they now sit 2 points out of a playoff spot. Calgary and Nashville are tied with 66 points, and the Wings have 64. Calgary is in Tampa tonight and Nashville is hosting San Jose.
